Read on to discover seven fantastic foodie stops you might experience within a one and a half hour Daily Barlow Tour:

Savor a French Pastry or Baguette at Sarmentine

Everyone in Sonoma County has been eagerly awaiting the opening of The Barlow Market District’s newest addition: Sarmentine Artisan Boulanger! We are thrilled to add Sarmentine to the Daily Tasting Tour, so visitors can sample their exquisite French pastries and baguettes. Inspired by traditional baked goods from Bordeaux, Sarmentine’s creations are handcrafted daily at The Barlow with local organic ingredients.

A stop at Sarmentine on The Barlow’s Daily Tasting Tour will give you the opportunity to learn more about the inspiration behind their French-style bakery and artisanal processes, while nibbling on a sampling of their daily offerings. Bon appétit!

Try Handcrafted Cheeses at WM Cofield

After a sampling of French treats, it will be the perfect time to transition to some British bites. William Cofield Cheesemakers brings to Sonoma County its first proper British-style cheesemaker, and we couldn’t be happier to have them right here in The Barlow.

Not only will you be able to try several different cheeses produced on-site (we recommend the Big McK and McKinley Extra Aged cheddars, as well as the Bodega Blue!), Owner, Keith or Cheesemonger, Amanda will be there to give you a peek at the production process as well as their aging room, and tell you all about what goes into crafting the perfect wheel of cheese.

Dip Into Award-Winning Olive Oils at Il Fusti

The only thing missing after bread and cheese is: olive oil! We love stopping in to Il Fusti to sample an array of olive oils and vinegars produced right here in Sebastopol (some of which have won multiple awards at the Sonoma County Harvest Fair!). Il Fusti olives are harvested from over one hundred olive trees on a nearby 6-acre estate, and are processed into uniquely full-bodied oils – a taste that you can only find in California-grown olives.

Don’t leave Il Fusti without dipping into the Garlic Olive Oil or the Fig Balsamic Vinegar (trust us). Their products are sold exclusively at The Barlow, so you might also consider taking a bottle or two home with you!

Sip On Famous Cocktails at FernBar

After so many delicious bites, it’s time to sip on a cocktail at FernBar, crafted by one of Sonoma County’s finest mixologists. Sam Levy, the former bar manager of 3 Michelin-starred The Restaurant at Meadowood in St. Helena (and a fellow Sebastopol native), is the brain behind the delicious spirited sips and “free-spirited” mocktails at FernBar.

FernBar is a bar-focused restaurant within The Barlow, where garden-to-glass cocktails are served alongside modern American cuisine inspired by West Sonoma County's abundance of biodiversity. Not only are all of FernBar’s offerings delicious, their dining areas are Instagrammable, plant-filled spaces that locals flock to on Friday and Saturday evenings. On this special Barlow Tour stop, you will enjoy a Guera cocktail or other crafty concoction.

Get Your Game On at The Rewind Arcade

A Daily Tasting Tour is never complete without a stop into The Rewind Arcade! The Rewind is Sonoma County’s first retro arcade bar, and we couldn’t be more excited about their arrival in The Barlow Market District! Featuring a mix of 80s and 90s arcade and pinball games, everyone in the daily tour groups loves to play on vintage machines while sampling specialty beers featured on their self-serve beer wall. Delicious craft beers are available from several local favorites, including Cooperage, Old Caz, Moonlight Brewing Company, and more.

Pour Your Own Wine Tastings at Region.

Speaking of self-serve, one of the most popular destinations in The Barlow is the Region. tasting room. Chances are, whether you are local to Wine Country or visiting for the first time, you are curious about the many different varietals grown and produced in the area. An incredible display of terrain and diverse microclimates make up the county of Sonoma, and Region.’s wall of taps feature over fifty hand-selected wines to represent the best of the region.

After sipping on a taste or two on The Barlow’s Daily Tasting Tour, you might just find your new favorite Sonoma County wine, inspiring your next winery visit when in the area.

End Your Tasting Tour with Duck Fat Fries, Oysters, & Champagne

We love ending our Daily Barlow Tasting Tours at Oyster. After walking, nibbling, and sipping your way through The Barlow’s campus, Oyster is the perfect place to grab a seat and enjoy a round of raw oysters, duck fat fries, and a glass of champagne. Oyster is an intimate and elegant space, reminiscent of a Parisian sidewalk café, and it is at this point that your Barlow Tour Guide will leave you to put your feet up and relax.
