ZAZU KITCHEN + FARM
As passionate leaders of the farm-to-table movement, husband and wife team Duskie Estes and John Stewart offer both of their food sensibilities in their restaurant: playful Americana and rustic Northern Italian. The menu features their own farm grown produce, as well as salumi and bacon from their award- winning Black Pig Meat Co. Duskie was a popular “cheftestant” in Seasons 3 and 5 of Food Network’s “The Next Iron Chef.” Their shared commitment to sustainability has earned them several awards and quickly put them on the leaderboard as a Sonoma County culinary destination. Not only are they advocates for Farm-to-Table, but LIVE it every day. They farm in 3 locations in Sonoma County, including right here at the Barlow and raise their own pigs, chickens, rabbits, ducks, goats, and sheep on their farm in Forestville. They believe deeply in the responsibility of their purchases, seeking to support small farmers, diversity of agriculture, pasture living for animals, and respect for their life given, using all parts “snout to tail”.
